Muhammad Faridi is a Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations partner at Linklaters LLP. Faridi serves as President of the New York City Bar Association, one of the most powerful and prestigious bar associations in the U.S. He is the youngest person and the first ever Muslim-American to serve in the role. Prior to becoming President of the New York City Bar Association, Faridi served as the organization’s Vice President, Chair of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Committee on Capital Punishment, and Co-Chair of the Committee on the Recruitment and Retention of Lawyers. Faridi has also received The Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award for multiple years, MFY Legal Services, Inc.’s Partner in Justice Award, the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project’s TD Bank Champion of Justice Award, and has been recognized for multiple years as a Rising Star in the New York-Metro edition of Super Lawyers. From 2007 to 2008, Faridi served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Jack B. Weinstein of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York. He graduated with a B.A. summa cum laude from John Jay in 2004 and went on to attend City University of New York School of Law, where he graduated in 2007.
