Model United Nations Team Earns Highest Award for Third Consecutive Year

John Jay’s Model United Nations team won the the outstanding delegation award for the third year in a row, plus two paper position awards and one peer award, at the 2023 National Model United Nations Conference.

John Jay represented Germany, with delegates serving on committees tasked to deliberate, negotiate, draft and adopt resolutions on issues such as disarmament, economic development, human rights, migration, food security, climate change and artificial intelligence. About 4,000 students and faculty members participated in the 2023 conference, which included 16 simulated UN committees and interactions with members of the United Nations Secretariat and Permanent Missions to the UN.
