An in-person and virtual seminar will focus on the role of sexual assault nurse examiners in victim examination, evidence collection and expert testimony. The afternoon session presents the use of emerging forensic technologies. An in-person, hands-on workshop on Saturday, October 18 will demonstrate the use of Alternative Light Sources (ALS) for enhanced documentation of injuries.
October 18 Workshop: Documentation of Forensic Evidence in Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Cases
This workshop will give attendees the opportunity to learn about digital photography and ALS as it applies to the documentation of bruising and other injuries for sexual assault and domestic violence victims. Hands-on exercises include image capture and forensic storage/presentation principles. The workshop will be held in person. Registration includes lunch. Additional details will be provided after registration.
