Senior Auditor Application

Non-Degree Application Deadlines:

Fall Semester – August 15
Winter Intersession – December 10
Spring Semester – January 10
Summer Session I – May 15 
Summer Session II/III – June 15

The Summer '24 Non-Degree and Senior Auditor applications (session I & session II/III) are now open! Fall '24 Non-Degree and Senior Auditor applications will not open until Thursday, May 2nd.

If you are a New York state resident, 60 years of age or older, and have completed high school, you may attend John Jay College as a Senior Auditor for the college's undergraduate courses on a space available basis, without paying tuition. Senior Auditors pay $80 per semester.

Registration for Senior Auditors will begin approximately one week prior to the start of the semester. Please refer to the academic calendar for more information.

Steps to Apply as an Auditor:

1.    Utilize Global Class Search to view course offerings for the semester of your choosing. Once you find a course/s of interest, please take note of the course abbreviation, number, section, and CLASS number.

2.    Complete your Senior Auditor application. Alongside your application, submit verification of age. Acceptable forms of proof of age include a valid driver’s license, birth certificate, U.S. passport, or Medicaid card. The application provides you an option to upload documentation.
