John Jay College was ranked #2 for Best Public Management Programs in New York by US News & World Report.
The rankings were based on a US News & World Report survey of deans, directors and department chairs in 269 master's programs in public affairs and administration. Respondents were asked to rate the academic quality of master's programs and scores for each school were totaled and divided by the number of respondents who rated that school.
The #2 ranking demonstrates John Jay’s commitment to giving students from lower-income backgrounds access to high-quality education at a fraction of the cost to attend a comparable private college. John Jay offers an MPA in Public Policy & Administration and in Inspection & Oversight as well as an MPA/JD in Law & Public Accountability.
John Jay was also recently ranked #4 for social mobility and #5 for public colleges by U.S. News & World Report, #1 in the country for criminal justice, forensic science and legal studies programs by University HQ, #1 in public universities in New York by Niche, #4 nationwide in best public colleges by Money magazine, #7 in “best bang for the buck” by Washington Monthly and a top veteran-friendly school by US Veterans Magazine.
