
Samantha Bergman ‘25 Wins Paid Cybersecurity Internship
Samantha Bergman ‘25, a student in John Jay’s MS in Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity Program, will intern this summer with the Homeland Security Professional Opportunities for Student Workforce to Experience Research (HS-POWER), a ten-week, paid U.S. Department of Homeland Security internship that supports cutting-edge research on topics like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, digital forensics and criminal investigations.
Bergman, who aims for a career in digital forensics and cyber investigations, was previously an information security intern with the New York City Department of Buildings, an asset forfeiture and intelligence intern with the Nassau County Police Department, a cybersecurity analyst intern with the New York State Education Department and a student cybersecurity intern with Ernst & Young.
Bergman graduated magna cum laude with a BS in emergency preparedness, homeland security and cybersecurity from the University at Albany, SUNY.
